Upon arrival at Shiloh, itβs always a good idea to visit each station to be sure things are running before people start arriving. Better to deal with issues before you have someone standing there waiting. π
Make sure all stations are on and running Check-Ins. Every screen should be purple and have a keypad (Self Stations) or a search bar (Manned Stations) displayed.
If anything looks off on-screen, refer to Troubleshooting Common Issues for how to fix it.
Do the following for each station
Turn on iPad
- Press them home button on the right side of the screen to turn each iPad on
- If there is a "Welcome to iOS" screen showing, hit continue.
- If you see the purple Check-ins app but it says, "There are no times for this service type" tap "Start Over" in the top-right. If it says "Make this device a Check-In Station" tap the button to make a station.
Print a Test Label
- Pull up our Test family by searching for βTestβ or entering 1234 on the keypad
- Check in a child and make sure you get one Name Tag and one Security Tag
If you see "Not connected to a printer!" refer to Troubleshooting Common Issues
Press the Start Over button
- On Self Stations (with a keypad/scanner) tap the Start Over button in the top-right corner. This will put the cursor in the text box to ensure the scanner will work.
The scanner acts like a keyboard so the text box needs to be selected with a cursor in order for the scan to be entered into the app. This only needs to be done when turning on the iPads. After each person checks in it happens automatically.
